RELATIONSHIP CRISES AND CYCLES

Relationships are very important in life, indeed, for most people they are the most important of all areas of life.

• One type of relationships is those that we choose ourselves, those that produce feelings of love and belonging to a partner, a child, a friend, and for most people this type of relationship is also equivalent to the love they feel for their pet.

• The other type is business relationship that includes mutual cooperation towards the achievement of financial security, profit, professional acknowledgement, as well as status.

• Relationships that we inherited with birth are called familiar relationships and they are primarily formed with parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, even with people that are not related by blood, but still play an important part in our lives (step parents and their children)

• Social relationships are all other relationships – those formed with neighbors, acquaintances, plumbers, doctors, and all other people we meet accidentally, or with a particular purpose.

There are three reasons why we enter relationships and we can separate them into three types according to their length.

Seasonal – we meet the other person during holidays, during a project, or simply because we spend time at a certain location for a while. These relationships are usually seasonal, and rarely last beyond 4 months.

Relationships for a purpose – these relationships are formed for a particular reason and they have a higher purpose. We meet and one person has the 'task' to fix or break, change the life of the other person in the relationship, to teach them something, or simply to serve as a catalyst for the change in other person's life. Change comes soon after the relationship is formed.
The most common occurrence is when one person introduces the other with their future life partner, or the future employer. When the 'task' is completed, the original relationship has no purpose, and such a relationship often dissolves.

Life-long relationship – these relationships last for several years or the entire life and they are the most important relationships in our lives.

In astrology there are indicators that show the periods of critical moments or trials in relationships and periods in which some relationships may be endangered, must me defined and structured – what to do and how to advance – or they will inevitably and painfully collapse.
One of the indicators of when there will occur a turning point in relationships are eclipses – that, as we said in the eclipses text, have the strongest effect on people on whose birthdays they occur. They also have an effect on other people, to certain extent, depending on the position of other planets that can be under the influence of the eclipse at the same time.
That is why there is the greatest number of relationship crises during the period right before or during the eclipse event.

Saturn is the traditional indicator of when there will be difficulties, maturation, culmination and the need for maintaining balance or solving problems in relationships.
When you care about someone, when you love that person, you change and you do not set such high standards in a relationship. And then you wake up one morning, and you want more, you want to equalize the ration of giving/taking and the other side in the relationship accepts such change only if they care about the relationship as much as you do.

New relationships that are born under the influence of this energy have a greater chance to be formed between partners with a significant age differences, which indicates that such a relationship will enter a serious period of crisis in the next 7 year cycle.
On the other hand, people that are born with stressful relationship between Saturn and Venus, the 28th and 29th year of life will be very important and the stressful cycle of Saturn for them may indicate fateful encounters with the most important
people of their lives or circumstances that are going to affect the way they see life and relationships in the future. Therefore, for them the most important years, besides 28-29, are also year 36, as well as year 43, 50, 57 and 64.

Saturn's cycle with Venus is impossible to avoid and its purpose is to teach us that nothing in life is granted – God-given.
As all Saturn's cycles are connected to Karma (more on this in the text 'Planetary cycles'), the causes of struggles in relationships and potential grief may be higher powers, whish means that it may not depend on you, but may be caused by outside influences and events.
Venus is the ruler of emotional intelligence and balance, the ruler of financial matters too, so that Saturn's effect can be felt through health problems or the illness of a person close to you, or it can be reflected as a restriction on your bank account.

Do not forget that true relationships will not fail under the pressure of Saturn. If there are problems present in your life that have been caused by earlier events, then Saturn will bring them to their culmination.
